Lifetime's 1259 Portable Basketball Goal System includes a 44-inch black rectangular impact backboard that is screen printed with UV-protected inks, offering fade resistant color. The folding rim designed to withstand today's style of aggressive play features welded-steel net hooks that help avoid the annoyance and danger of dangling net loops common in cheaper rims. The Streamlined portable base rolls to any desired location, and is constructed of high-density polyethylene to withstand the elements. The system includes a three piece hammer-tone steel 2.75-inch round telescoping pole system.
Portable basketball systems depend on a base filled with sand or water for stability. Although it will take up more space than an in-ground system, the portable base rolls on wheels, allowing players to position the basketball system in the desired location (and also allowing storage in a garage).
